Andrew Katsis is a zoologist and science communicator from Melbourne, Victoria. He completed his Master of Science (Zoology) at the University of Melbourne in 2013, studying personality and vocal learning in the superb fairy-wren (Malurus cyaneus). Andrew enjoys spreading the word of science through various media. He has written and edited science material for the Victorian Department of Environment and Primary Industries (DEPI; now DELWP) and the academic news site The Conversation. He also produced and hosted the radio program A Science Story for SYN 90.7 FM. Andrew joined the Australian Society for Fish Biology in 2015, to encourage members and the general public to engage with the excellent fish research being conducted around Australasia.
